We need a top procurement Procure-to-Pay expert who has proven experience managing a team of buyers using; SAP & Ariba Guided Buying coupled with providing support, training, and mentoring to fellow team members on our Procurement Procure-to-Pay processes.

As the Purchasing Manager you will play a critical role in helping to drive our transformation to become best in class for contract lifecycle management and Source-to-Pay processes. Your experience and Procurement expertise will help us achieve our transformation objectives and to optimize our team performance to support the changes we are making.

As the Purchasing Manager your day to day would look like but is not limited to:

  • Coaching and training your team along with training P2P System Support peers and other Procurement areas like Contract and Compliance, Category, Sourcing, Diversity and Supplier Relationship Management

  • Ensuring a positive, consistent user experience by maintaining and supporting our critical procurement tool connections to Icertis (CLM) Service Now, and SAP for a seamless process with the Procurement Tool Administrator

  • Being part of the team that has a deep understanding of our functional business partner's needs and can help guide their decisions and actions to support their business strategy. You will help build and support ongoing initiatives that proactively support their functional business goals.

  • Leveraging available data and analytics to monitor and regularly report on usage of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) tools and implement plans for improving tool usage/value

  • Conducting regularly scheduled maintenance of the Ariba platform and requisite data elements.

  • Managing key data by liaising with the business to assess additions, removals, and changes of business objects (suppliers, users, items, accounts, etc.)

  • Serving as liaison between Procurement and Accounts Payable and ensuring a seamless end-to-end Procurement experience for key stakeholders

  • Assessing implications of new software releases, configuring accordingly, and supporting and determining necessary change management with the team

  • Delivering on ad hoc requests, special projects, reporting, and status inquiries

  • Partnering and collaborating with other technical and non-technical MassMutual teams as needed, i.e., Legal, IT, Cash Operations, Procurement and Finance Departments

 

The Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years procurement experience, including management responsibility in Procure to Pay, procurement and/or AP operations

  • At least 2+ years experience managing others

  • Ability to troubleshoot and make sound decisions in response to rapidly changing often complicated situations

  • Prior experience being a P2P lead

  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex end to end processes
