Payroll Supervisor

This position is responsible for supervising the payroll process. We are looking for a proactive, problem solver who is customer focused with areas of strong expertise within payroll. This position oversees complex payroll processing tasks requiring a thorough knowledge of US and global payroll rules and regulations, organizational structure and systems, accounting, auditing and government regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed review of bi-weekly US and monthly International payrolls for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify, research, investigate and resolve payroll anomalies during routine payroll analysis.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of International, Federal, State and Local payroll regulations and taxation, including those related to employee benefits. Ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Timely assist employees and managers with payroll related inquiries in a professional manner demonstrating excellence in customer service.
  • Handle reconciliations & validations on payroll functions including Gross to Net calculation
  • Ensure all equity transactions are recorded and corresponding taxes are remitted per the IRS requirements as well as reflected accordingly in W-2’s, 941’s and state tax filings.
  • Partner with Benefits and People Operations teams to maintain interface with payroll.
  • Analyze changes to the system and work with the People Technology & Analytics team to implement corrective action.
  • Adhere to payroll policies and procedures ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Assist in new country payroll implementation, as needed.
  • Review and recommend changes to payroll processes as required to improve performance within the Payroll Department.
  • Cover for team members in back-up role for vacation and /or high volume work efforts.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of payroll/accounting experience preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional organization and analytical skills
  • Ability to complete tasks in efficient and timely manner
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Maintain high regard for confidentiality
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook required
