The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurately reporting and processing US payroll. The Payroll Specialist will work closely with business partners and payroll vendors to ensure employees are being paid accurately and timely. 

Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly US and Canada payroll, including any payroll related data entry. 
  • Manage work flow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. 
  • Download, prepare and process stock related transactions.
  • Respond to and assist employees with inquires and questions in a timely manner. 
  • Perform Workday payroll maintenance by testing/troubleshooting upgrades or setting up new earnings/deductions codes.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information. 
  • Partner and interact with HR representatives to ensure appropriate data collection for employee payments. 
  • Administer garnishments and work with accounting on reconciliations.
  • Interface with third party service providers.
  • Manage all domestic payroll taxes.
  • Manage the process for year-end and W-2 requirements.
  • Adhere to payroll policies and procedures ensuring SOX compliance.
  • Cross train on all International payrolls including APAC and EMEA
  • Assist in new country payroll implementation, as needed. 
  • Ability to own and complete complex and sensitive projects, as needed. 
  • Seek innovative ways to improve payroll processes or procedures. 
  • Develop subject matter expertise on payroll compliance.
  • Maintain expertise through monitoring, documenting, and communicating changes in requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of payroll experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines 
  • Exceptional organization and analytical skills 
  • Ability to complete tasks in efficient and timely manner 
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Maintain high regard for confidentiality
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook required
