Job Description
As part of the Payments team, you will become an expert in international payment processing, especially as it relates to card payments. You will manage key partnerships with card networks (e.g. Mastercard, VISA, American Express, UnionPay etc) around the world and execute initiatives that drive payments growth.
Key Responsibilities
Become an expert in Flywire’s product offering
Own smooth execution and successful implementation of payments growth initiatives (existing and new) with card networks
Become the key point of contact for both external (e.g. card networks, card issuing banks) and internal stakeholders (e.g. finance, marketing) to manage day to day activities for such initiatives
Assess impact of such initiatives and communicate with relevant stakeholders on a regular basis
Discover new opportunities to create value through market research on payment products and customer needs
Perform business analysis on new opportunities and pitch to internal stakeholders
Use a data-driven approach to create hypotheses and test identified opportunities through MVPs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Create long term sustainable value for Flywire through constant testing, iteration, and deployment of new initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum FlyMate Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a business development or strategy role in payments, banking, venture capital or management consulting industry
Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Engineering/Finance (preferred)
Strong focus on execution and impact with an ability to think strategically
Love for process with ability to stay nimble to execute under tight deadlines
Ability to manage external partners through constant and thoughtful engagement
Strong communication and presentation skills to break down complex ideas and convey them succinctly
Creative mindset to identify new opportunities
Ability to run tests, learn, and iterate on new ideas
Ability to influence without authority
Strong negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills
International experience as a student and/or professional (preferred)
