Manager, Indirect Tax

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support research on indirect tax developments
  • Become a finance business partner with the regulatory team
  • Determine an approach to proactively manage different state’s tax requirements
  • Assess and report headcount needs for current and future states
  • Work with IT and Accounting departments to create an automatic process
  • Manage daily reports and other accounting responsibilities for license requirements
  • Provide audit support, working closely with all auditors

  • Able to work professionally with state auditors
  • Willing to roll-up sleeves and take on any responsibilities
  • Works independently, can make quick decisions
  • Able to learn quickly

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years’ experience
  • Experience with data mining
  • Background in tax, understands SOX and Nexus
  • Experience with tax regulations in multiple states (nation-wide)
  • ERP background, experience with Oracle/SAP
  • Experience supporting audits, working with regulatory parties/agencies
  • Experience working for a large company (national or global scale)
  • Proficient with Excel
  • CPA preferred
  • Foreign tax experience (VAT/GST) experience preferred
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel 10-15% of time

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
