Role overview
As the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be the primary partner to the new Digital Retail team, responsible for driving decision-making through financial analysis. This position will be a key contributor to the Go-to-Market FP&A team and support CarGurus’ evolving business model. What you'll do
- Provide outstanding business partnership to Senior business leaders
- Produce rich insights, plans, and forecasts with a high degree of clarity and accuracy around revenue, expense, and other relevant financial metrics.
- Build and review detailed assumptions that drive the new multi-year planning model. Work with business leaders and finance support to create models and set targets accordingly
- Drive investment decisions for a new rapidly growing business; create and lead business models for effective decision making
- Responsible for P&L and cash budget as well as forecast, working closely with the business and accounting teams
- Develop clear and insightful presentations for leadership teams and board meetings.
- Work in partnership with the Accounting team to support the close process, including review and analysis of the general ledger, monthly accruals, and provide variance explanations
- Respond to ad hoc financial analyses, special projects, and other similar or related duties as required or requested.
- Consistently assess ways in which analysis and process can be improved.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree (Master's preferred) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related major required.
- 8+ years FP&A, finance business partnering, and/or consulting experience
- Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills; Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, Zuora experience is a plus
- Highly organized, thorough, flexible teammate who can partner with all functions of business and work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Experience working with an emerging market or new/early stage business.
- Experience in technology or automotive industry preferred
