The OpportunityAs the Manager, Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense at Rapid7, you’ll lead the strategic development and ongoing operation of AP and T&E globally for a growing, fast-paced tech company. You’re an experienced team manager with a strong track record of leadership, who enjoys mentoring and empowering your team to achieve their goals. In this role you will:
Lead the development of short and long-term objectives for the team on all AP and T&E matters
Lead, mentor and supervise a team of three
Evaluate KPIs and organize the team for success using a customer-centric approach
Manage the team’s workflow
Create process improvements and policies as required
Manage efficient processing of high volumes of supplier invoices and payments in different currencies
Lead and execute change through strong and effective collaboration with stakeholders
Timely and accurate processing of all domestic and international supplier payments and employee expenses
Act as the main point of contact for all escalated queries, resolving issues promptly and with professionalism
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain a robust T&E policy framework that fits with Rapid7’s Core Values
Oversee the administration of the corporate credit card program as well as Concur (T&E system)
Develop and analyze relevant metrics to identify performance trends and make recommendations for process improvements to improve performance. Deliver metrics and relevant commentary to internal customers and Finance leadership. Take appropriate action on feedback from stakeholders and customers
Seek ways to leverage the team to improve process and efficiencies as well as understand and address the root cause of problems
Provide guidance and leadership to the organization on accounts payable practices and payment methods and day to day activity
Stay apprised of developments in Travel and Expense related fields, communicating any recommendations as needed
Manage, coordinate, and support special projects as needed
In return you will bring:
Minimum 5 years of experience operating in an AP function in a fast-growing, multi-currency environment, with 2-3 years’ experience leading the AP team. You know how to:
Streamline AP processes
Process high volume of supplier invoices and payments in different currencies, domestically and internationally
Process employee expenses
Provide guidance and leadership to the organization on AP practices, payment methods, day-to-day activities, and understand T&E best practices
Proven leader who enjoys managing and developing the AP team, with T&E experience a plus
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work to deadlines in a fast paced environment
Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer-centric approach
Methodical, diligent, accurate and accountable
Ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvement through change

Strategic thinker with the ability to visualize and implement process improvements
Prior AP experience at a similarly sized organization is a plus
Experience with Coupa, Concur or NetSuite is a plus
