Junior Investment Analyst- Operations
SUMMARY
Investment operations is a key part of the investment life cycle value stream. This role will support the initial onboarding and ongoing fund administration throughout the life of an investment. This role will interact heavily with our internal and external asset managers as well with a variety of operations and corporate stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Junior Investment Analyst for the Middle Office operations will be primarily responsible for the following:
- Triaging and prioritizing incoming requests from both external and internal stakeholders on a daily basis
- Processing requests for funding within established time standards
- Maintaining the investment book of record to reflect investment activity within established time standards
- Ensuring trade activity is communicated effectively and in a timely manner to the appropriate business areas
- Collaborating and communicating with stakeholders within Investment Management as well as with other cross-functional business partners
- Maintaining and improving standard work, policies/procedures and process workflows
QUALIFICATIONS
- Four year college degree
- 3+ years working in the financial services sector in similar investment operations capacity.
- Knowledge of financial securities markets, language and products
- Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel, PowerPoint, BI and Access)
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Position may require up to a 10% travel commitment on a rolling twelve month basis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with private assets(including structured products/securitization such as CLOs, CMBS, RMBS) and loan administration (including, deal structuring, security master data and waterfall calculations)
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills
- Banking, treasury, Private equity and/or venture operations experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Independence and self-motivation, with the ability to directly address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate
- A sense of urgency, being able to prioritize and multi-task well
- Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal groups and client contacts
- Risk and controls awareness
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong attention to detail, while accurately processing large volumes of work under competing priorities
- Recognition of patterns and trends in data operations and identify opportunities for improving processes and systems
