Job Description:

PatientPing is actively hiring a full-time Head of Finance who will manage PatientPing’s, accounting, finance, and legal activities. The Head of Finance will be responsible for analytically assessing and enhancing financial performance at a customer, market, and company level, while ensuring appropriate processes, controls, and compliance efforts are in place. 

An ideal candidate will have finance, healthcare, and management experience. This person should have excellent attention to detail and be able to zoom out and see strategic opportunities for growth and profitability. Successful candidates will be intensely analytical, excellent at building processes, resourceful, strategic, collaborative, and excellent communicators. 

What You Will Do:

Execution: 

•Strategically assess, enhance, and report financial performance at customer, segment, market, and company level

•Partner with other functions to find opportunities for increased value creation 

Process: 

•Manage all financial planning activities

•Oversee monthly close process and plan vs. actual review 

•Work with controller and accounting team to issue financial statements, oversee annual audit, and reporting to board

•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and filings requirements

•Review and improve controls and risk management efforts

Management: 

•Recruit and build world-class accounting, finance, and legal teams

In 3 months…

Execution

•Developed detailed understanding of customer, segment, market, and company economics

Process

•Managed efficient monthly close process and plan vs. actual review 

•Assessed all existing systems, processes, controls, and contracts

Management

•Established strong relationships with current team members

•Created preliminary hiring plan to keep pace with growth

In 6 months...

Execution

•Identified opportunities for growth and profitability through improved pricing, customer acquisition costs, and cost to serve

•Implemented new reports, tools, and analyses to support and improve efficiency of activities across functions

•Established data-driven management infrastructure to set and meet ambitious quarterly targets

•Updated annual and long-range financial plans

Process

•Implemented any necessary changes to existing systems, processes, and controls

•Refined contracting efforts to streamline process and mitigate risks, in collaboration of counsel

Management

•Made high impact hires and established a track record of recruiting exceptional talent 

•Maintained excellent team morale

•Created clear plan and org chart to efficiently scale team 

In 12 months...

Execution

•Made measurable impacts on company’s growth and profitability

•Developed new annual and long-range financial plans

Process

•Tightly integrated and aligned finance processes with those of other functions to improve speed and quality of decision-making

•Created clear processes and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance at local, state, and federal level, and mitigate risks

Management

•Put in place a collaborative team with deep functional expertise 

•Developed strong lateral relationships between Finance and rest of organization

What You Need:

•5+ years of work experience in finance or other closely-related function 

•BA/BS degree

•Experience managing and build teams in rapidly growing organizations

•Analytical mindset and comfort with financial modeling

•Tenacious attitude, strong problem-solving abilities, and thirst for inquiry

•Track record of proactively getting things done and building process

•Investment banking, investing, and/or FP&A experience a plus

•Healthcare and/or SaaS experience a plus

•CPA or MBA a plus
