How you will make an impact:
- Develop financial models for benchmarking, budgeting and forecasting
- Forecast and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual performance
- Quantitative and qualitative reporting for marketing, partnerships, agency teams
- Drive development and measurement of key performance indicators for the business
- Coordinate with the SVP and the executive team on long-term financial planning
- Compare anticipated vs actual results and identify areas of improvement
- Review accounting transactions for data accuracy from partners
- Establish measures for continuous improvement to streamline processes and flow of information
- Lead new system implementations
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions
What you need to succeed:
- Willingness to own a process and lead from the front
- Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software
- Expertise in MS Excel for modeling and tracking financials
- Understanding of various ERP systems and experience implementing new systems
- Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts to executives and board
- Self-directed self-starter who can thrive in a high growth startup environment
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Relevant certification (e.g. CFA/CPA) or MBA is a plus
- Insurance, tech start-up and/or public company experience preferred but not required
