Senior Financial Planning Analyst
Piaggio Fast Forward is looking for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join our growing and dynamic team. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Planning Analyst be responsible for developing and managing financial reports including budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, variance analyses, and other ad-hoc analyses while serving as the primary liaison between Financial Planning and the organization. The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will also play a role in consolidating forecasts, budgets and management reporting.
As the Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you will be expected to deliver financial support to project leaders and department leaders to assist them in managing budgets and making sound financial decisions. Successful candidates will exemplify the ability to thrive in team-oriented environments ensuring a high degree of accountability, transparency, and understanding as it relates to the reporting, accounting and operational performance of the organization. The position will require significant interaction with key members of senior management, including presentations to the Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial management to departments, including annual budgeting, reforecast processes, long range planning and actuals reporting
- Oversee financial planning for corporate items
- Work to consolidate budget & forecasts and develop management reporting to enable real-time information flow to budget stakeholders
- Partner with the accounting team to support monthly & quarterly close processes
- Provide monthly variance analyses to budget stakeholders along with recommendations for any corrective actions needed
- Ensure associated financial risks and opportunities, both near and longer-term are identified and reviewed periodically
- Provide value-added partnership to business stakeholders, identifying areas of improved ROI or potential cost savings and work with Procurement on implementing new approaches for achieving savings
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Economics/Accounting/Finance or similar
- MBA strongly preferred
- 5+ years forecast and modeling experience, preferably as a financial business partner within a manufacturing and robotics environment
- Knowledge of accounting statements and financial reporting
- Excellent analytic skills; highly proficient in Excel-based modeling with strong computer skills
- Ability to operate both strategically (big picture) and operationally (small picture).
- Must interact well in a team environment with a positive customer service attitude and strong partnering skills
- Systems aptitude required; Experience working with Netsuite is preferred
