FP&A Manager

This role is more than just formulas and data it’s about helping to deliver high value results. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the ideal candidate is someone who knows how to manage teams that need to provide accurate results quickly on an ongoing basis in a fast-paced environment. You know when to dig in on details and when to move on and you thrive in an environment where your ideas are tested daily. Most importantly you know that the role of a finance team is more than just cost cutting but advising the business on the right investments to make to benefit long term strategic growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Financial Analysts by providing financial leadership and analytical support while also keeping senior management informed on key financial metrics
- Manage and execute complex financial modeling development, enhancement and maintenancearound bookings, revenue, and expense that enable effective P&L and Cash Flow management and predictability
- Lead monthly cadence with business partners to review results, identify and explain variances versus forecast and budget, mitigate risks, and capitalize on opportunities
- Generate management reporting and financial packages on both a routine and ad hoc basis
- Partner with key stakeholders and business leaders to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of GAAP, three statement financial modeling and consolidated reporting
- BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of corporate FP&A experience with proven success; preferably in a SaaS company
- An inquisitive nature, someone who wants to explore variances and understand root causes
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge or influence senior management
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and to adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in a high growth tech company, investment banking, private equity, management consulting and M&A
- Strong systems skills with experience in cloud based ERP/Financial System with preference towards NetSuite, Adaptive Planning and Salesforce
- MBA a plus
- Knowledge with multiple revenue streams including SAAS, Payments, Hardware, and Implementation
- Knowledge of SQL, Python or R
