Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting the VP of Finance with financial reporting and modeling and the Accounting team with monthly close and special projects such as the NetSuite and Adaptive implementations. The Financial Analyst will collaborate closely across all business areas to model cost, revenue, KPIs, and cash flow drivers using an excel model. This forward-looking strategic position is a core best practice of our company and critical to the successful growth of the organization.

Responsibilities
- Assist Accounting with month end closing, day to day accounting operations, account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, and prepare detailed analyses by developing a detailed understanding of business drivers.
- Develop meaningful analysis, evaluating both financial and non-financial metrics, to incorporate into reporting for management and to address questions from key stakeholders
- Increase the use of systems and automation to aggregate and analyze data
- Assist the Finance team to timely and accurately complete monthly close process and prepare financial results, metrics and reporting in support of the monthly and quarterly close processes
- Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts across different areas of the business
- Work with Operations team to ensure cross company compliance for SOC 2 audit and prep for SOX implementation through control testing, continuous monitoring, and reporting
Desired Skills & Experiences
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, Finance concentration
- 1-3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting systems and reporting tools, NetSuite experience preferred
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment and interacting with multiple departments
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinker open to learning new ideas/skills
- Flexible and excited by challenges and growth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
