Our Opportunity:
The Chewy Campus Recruiting Team is seeking analytical, detail oriented and motivated candidate to join our finance team as a Financial Analyst in our Boston, MA, Plantation, FL., or Bellevue, WA office. In this role, you’ll combine your understanding of financial concepts, business acumen, and analytical ability as part of a team that supports Chewy’s rapid growth. Chewy Financial Analysts perform various financial planning and modeling processes to support key decisions, accelerate change, and ensure financial objectives are achieved. What You'll Do:
As a Financial Analyst, you will gain valuable experience and expand your critical thinking skills as you work alongside experienced team members. You will have the opportunity to create new processes, implement change to increase efficiencies and take ownership of new initiatives that allow Chewy to be the most trusted destination for pet parents everywhere. As Chewy continues to innovate, enter new markets and provide a best-in-class customer experience, the finance team provides essential support to the business. Responsibilities and duties include:
- Modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and create recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership.
- Aiding in financial performance reporting and creating frameworks for the business that define key metrics and performance indicators.
- Partnering with team members and functional leaders in regular forecast cycles to identify planning assumptions for key business drivers.
- Actively participating in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual planning processes.
- Extracting and analyzing data from central databases using SQL queries and Tableau.
What You'll Need:
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited bachelor’s degree program with an anticipated graduation date between December 2022 and June 2023.
- Experience with financial analysis and modeling, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis (academics, internships or projects).
- Advanced Excel (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and drive your work forward in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
- Exposure to SQL and Tableau a plus.
- Current permanent U.S. work authorization required.
