Director of Technical Accounting & Reporting will be primarily responsible for technical accounting research, controls, and SEC reporting. The director will leverage internal and external resources to assess all complex accounting matters and conclude in collaboration with external auditors and internal stakeholders.  The role will provide guidance to the rest of the team to help institute controls needed in a high growth technology company.  This position will also implement a process and necessary systems to facilitate public company reporting.  The candidate will report to the VP & Global Controller.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

• Provide research on complex accounting matters including ASC 606, lease accounting, FinTech, and equity accounting
• Implement new pronouncements on a timely manner
• Enhance the control environment with the collaboration of the rest of the accounting team
• Assess disclosure requirements necessary in a public company reporting and implement a process to get there
• Responsible for SEC reporting when or if applicable
• Assist in implementing scalable solutions including systems and processes
• Manage all the audits and build relationships with external auditors
• Supervise and develop a world class team

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

• Degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Public accounting experience ideally with technology company clients in FinTech or SaaS based revenue
• Additional industry experience preferred but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective cross functional collaborator in a high growth environment
• Proven ability to research and implement changes in accounting policy at a company-wide-level
• Develop relationships and collaborate with other teams as applicable to implement controls
• Effective manager who is focused in building and developing a world class team
