Job Description
Dynatrace is searching for a Director, Business Systems - Finance & HR, who will lead a team responsible for optimizing and managing our critical cloud-based business applications; such as, NetSuite(ERP), OneStream(Reporting/Analytics), UltiPro HR, and SmartRecruiters(TA). The Director will partner with the Sr. Director, Business Systems and functional area leadership to manage the transformation of critical business processes and applications in the Finance and HR functional areas. The work of your team will make systems/processes more efficient, reduce manual work, and enable data driven decisions. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter with the right mix of strategic and tactical experience that can roll up their sleeves and hit the ground running. Ideally, this candidate will have prior experience in a SaaS/Cloud based company.
You must possess exceptional talent for maximizing operational efficiencies while leveraging out of the box application functionality; and ability to build and leverage partnerships within the business to quickly assess and drive necessary optimizations.
Responsibilities:
- This role is responsible for all business applications in support of Finance (NetSuite, OneStream, Blackline), HR (UltiPro), Legal (DocuSign CLM), Varicent Commissions
- Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, empowered, engaged, and high performing team of business systems analysts and developers
- Manage strategic roadmap for related enterprise business applications, partnering closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal and Human Resources to ensure alignment with business needs and associated timelines
- Refine and own the governance process for intake/prioritization of related business application requests and ensure your team is working on the right things with the appropriate sense of urgency
- Act as the IT business systems stakeholder on critical projects, ensuring project success by understanding the needs of the business, taking direction from leadership, identifying appropriate solutions, and determining how technology should be leveraged to meet requirements
- Provide expert counsel to ensure the use of best practice processes and out of the box application functionality
- Champion and be a role model in building a team culture that puts the customer first, builds for the long term, collaborates effectively and is results-oriented with a growth mindset
- Manage projects and associated resources, vendors and funding
- Create staffing plans for internal and consulting resources
- Manage relationships with third party consulting and software vendors
- Ensure the uptime/availability of all business applications, and lead the team through outage/recovery situations when necessary
- Work with the security and compliance team to make sure the systems that are being implemented are compliant and secure, adhering to processes/procedures in place
Qualifications
- 10+ years management experience leading Finance and HR related business systems initiatives and teams
- At least 2 years in senior management positions (Director and above)
- Deep knowledge of Finance and HR cloud-based business applications and related business processes
- Expert business process design skills with a strong attention to detail
- Passion for the intersection of business value, user experience and technology
- Recent experience optimizing financial systems and processes; including hire to retire and procure to pay functions
- Experience presenting to execs and the larger organization on business systems activities
- Prior experience in business analyst and project manager roles; additionally, experience in a business leadership role such as, Controller is a plus
- Experience as a change agent, delivering large-scale technology projects involving change, for example implementing Workday Financials or HCM, Rev Rec (606) implementation etc
- Experience with SOX and the controls of a public company.
- Proven experience leading consolidation and rationalization of business systems and streamlining IT processes High degree of integrity and transparency - walk the talk
- Genuine passion for people development. Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously on budget and on time with rapid timelines
- Approach work with a sense of urgency and ownership, combined with strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to tailor communications to the audience with the required cadence to ensure alignment
- Ability to build partnerships across the business and work with employees in all functions and roles
- Ability to develop and manage a strong team
