ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Teikametrics is looking for a Controller to join our incredible growing global Finance team. As a part of the team, you’ll work closely with some of the most amazing talent in the tech industry, partnering with our finance, people, operations, engineering, development and product teams, and collaborating closely with other key stakeholders across the organization. You’ll be contributing to the exciting growth and scale of Teikametrics, including helping shape our operations, community and culture of hard working, empathetic and incredibly fun and talented team members.

 

The Controller will report to the VP of Finance and work closely with the other members of the Company’s Senior Management team.  You will be a foundational piece of the team that supports the rapid growth of the Company; both organically and through acquisition.  This will require someone who is “hands on” and into the details but also has the ability to see the big picture.  In addition to being responsible for management reporting, supervision of the monthly/quarterly close process, audit management, cash and bank management, tax management and other items; you will need to create and implement systems, policies and procedures that scale with the company’s growth.  

 

Finally, we’re delighted that this position can be based out of Boston, Seattle or remotely across the US.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and direct the day to day operation of the Accounting team at Teikametrics; which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and payroll
  • Responsible for all reporting; Board reporting, Investor reporting, management reporting, bank reporting.  
  • Ensures that the reported results comply with GAAP IFRS; including ASC 606
  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions that allows the company to scale and minimize risk
  • Assist with the due diligence of possible acquisitions.  
  • Works with external auditors and tax consultants to provide the information for the annual audit and annual tax filings 
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax authorities and other government agencies
     

QUALIFIED CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years Controller experience for B2B tech or SaaS companies 
  • 7-10 years Accounting and Finance experience with a rapidly growing Venture Backed or Private Equity backed company 
  • Experience with entity consolidations and foreign currency 
  • Ability to implement and manage Accounting and Finance systems.  
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, both at the executive level and with peers and cross-functional teams. Can clearly articulate ideas, frame problems and offer solutions and overall, can demonstrate empathy which is at the core of Teikametrics values
  • A self-starter, with a strong ability to operate and excel at strategic as well as tactical levels. Willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done.  
  • Advanced skills with G-Suite/Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Slides)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.  MSA or MBA preferred but not required.
