The Opportunity:
This key and highly visible position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Services Operations and will play an important role in helping grow all lines of Rapid7 Professional Services – as part of the Services organization’s overriding effort to create Rapid7 Raving Fans / Customers in order to drive overall company growth.
The Consulting Revenue Operations Specialist is empowered to make impactful decisions on Resource Management and operational auditing of our projects. The Coordinator is required to exercise independent judgment and discretion in managing all aspects of Company resources to be allocated to billable projects, and to analyze all completed projects for revenue recognition criteria.
In This Role You Will:
Drive achievement of financial targets by mastering resource management methodology
Exercise independent judgment and discretion in making numerous resource management decisions to help align with timeline, budget and resource requirements on customer projects
Manage resource allocation to the appropriate mix of billable project or directed, objective-based activity
Critically analyze completed projects for key revenue recognition criteria, escalate and drive any potential risk to closure working with the project management, and consultant team.
Work with the Operations Manager to support and continuously improve the project automation modules within our CRM & Resource planning tools
Actively participate in execution of PSO team and personal quarterly goals

Bachelor's degree
1-3 years of experience in a project management or operational role
Proven ability to manage high volume of activity effectively in a matrix resource environment – You get stuff done
You like to look at things from many different angles and come up with great solutions – Never settling for “the path of least resistance”
You consider Excel and PowerPoint old friends, not enemies
Experience with CRM Systems (NetSuite, Netsuite SRP or Open Air a plus but not required)
Fundamental understanding of project management methodology
Strong communication skills and team-driven focus is essential, as this team member will be expected to act independently as well as collaboratively with customers, peers, partners, and managers to ensure customer satisfaction and team goal achievement
Nice to Have But Not Required:
Project Management Professional (PMP) and / or ongoing affiliation with the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Experience working in a services organization within a software company
