The Collections Specialist is responsible for working closely with the Finance Team and internal stakeholders to manage the accounts receivable portfolio and drive collection activities to ensure timely payments by customers.

What you’ll do:

• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Make collection calls/emails and follow up to customers; leading to the resolution of payment issues, by proactive identification and resolution methods.
• Resolve billing and customer credit issues.
• Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.
• Cash applications and adjustments to specific accounts as provided by Accounting team backup.
• Gather credit and/or collections reference information, as required when needed.
• Track past due balances on client accounts and reduce amount of delinquent accounts as necessary.
• Send copies of invoices, credit memos, statements, and collection letters to clients as needed.
• Provide clear communication and customer service on collection issues to external customers and internal business partners.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• At least 1 year business experience required in collections or accounts receivables.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to communicate with tact and poise in demanding situations.
