Job Summary

Buildium's Finance Team is looking for a Billing Analyst that will support our growing business and existing customer base. As a key member of the Finance and Accounting team reporting to the Controller, you will be required to work cross functionally with Sales to determine correct billing for custom contracts and with Customer Care and Customer Success to resolve any customer billing or credit inquiries. The role requires an understanding of the company's business operations, products and accounting practices

What you’ll do:

  • Manage customer billing/credit/refund inquiries as escalated by the Sales, Customer Care and Customer Success teams beyond the standard approval thresholds.
  • Manage billings for custom contracts as sold by Sales team.
  • Manage status of customer accounts and balances and identify any inconsistencies.
  • Process credit or refunds ensuring adherence to company policy
  • Perform contract and subscription cancellations, revisions and re-billing as needed in response to cases and project assignments.
  • Respond to chargeback inquiries.
  • Review billing practices to ensure customer invoice accuracy and alignment with revenue recognition as defined by GAA 

Who you are:

  • 1-3 years of related experience in billing or accounting team functions
  • Knowledge of SaaS revenue recognition a plus
  • Zuora and Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working independently in an extremely fast-paced, high-growth team environment
