Due to massive growth and market success, SmartBear is continuing to hire employees rapidly to scale our company globally. Reporting directly to a Manager of FP&A, the Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst will act as a strategic business partner to the company’s leadership and be responsible for advancing a multi-year finance strategy in partnership with the company’s Manager of FP&A and VP of Finance.
Responsibilities
- Annual Planning & Forecasting
- Provide oversight and create expense planning: Detailed expense planning for Global organization
- Manage process, data, reporting, and analysis
- Responsible for assisting in the Monthly Close analysis and reporting in relation to expenses & P&L. Items such as: Spend Reports including Actual v Plan analysis, commentary, and YoY analysis/commentary
- Responsible for assisting in the Quarterly Close Analysis / Reporting: including Quarterly EBITDA Flash (Forecast and Final), BOD Reporting, PE Reporting, Lender Reporting including MD&A and Product Profitability
- Approval of all PO’s & headcount requisitions
- Collaborate with accounting on GAAP Financial statement model
- Prepare Monthly Management reporting decks
- Assist in sales billings analysis and reporting requirements
- Drive continuous improvement within the FP&A team to streamline processes and improve communication to the business
- Work collaboratively with accounting team in order to provide support during Close cycles, to ensure alignment of analytics and reporting with budget and forecast elements
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Finance or related field required; MBA preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis
- Outstanding communication and executive-level presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; highly proficient in Excel based modeling
- Prior experience with NetSuite, Solution 7, or Hyperion a plus
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced, high demand, results oriented environment
