Accounts Receivable Supervisor

The role of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor is to drive and support the timely and accurate cash posting of all receipts across various business units and posting of cash to ensure the integrity of the company’s accounts receivable and provide process management service(s) to internal and external customers of the business. This position supports the accounts receivable goals as aligned with the corporate business strategy and continually reviews processes for improvement. Key importance to this role is to protect the company’s interest by ensuring cash is recorded accurately and timely to positively impact revenue and drive working capital and cash objectives established by the company.
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will be responsible to develop relationships with Sales, Operations, Finance and Customer Service to understand their support requirements and to determine how the areas need to interact to ensure the few, if any, problems are encountered by the customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Think through best practices and process implementation, including assessment of internal-based cash applications team and/or outsourced solution(s). 
  • Develop, improve and implement process improvements to align with business evolution.
  • Assist in determination of key differences in cash application requirements across various business models. Lead, adjust or develop revised processes to address the differences in an efficient scalable manner
  • Lead a successful team 
    • Mentor and develop the cash applications team to meet and exceed department KPIs and goals through weekly and monthly updates of their performance. Department reports should be analyzed to determine team members that need coaching. 
    • Ensure that Cash Application Team staff is resolving any issues or discrepancies within a 24 hour turn around to support the integrity of accounts receivable balances and collections.
  • Develop daily process and procedures to ensure daily cash applications occurs within 24 hours of receipt of cash. Develop appropriate KPI’s to appropriately track metrics to ensure that the team is held accountable for enabling 100% on-time and accurate cash posting thus facilitating accurate cash application management.
  • Implementation the following receivable practices
    • Participate in the discussions, testing, and implementation of new system integrations and system transitions
    • Discuss special cash applications projects with appropriate parties and management to determine feasibility and proper documentation.
  • Assist in the implementation of cash applications practices 
    • Oracle lock box integration
    • Identify opportunities to automate cash applications lockbox files with little manual intervention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 1-3’s operational experience in Accounts Receivable & Cash Applications to include managing key business relationships and a strong background in implementing strategic projects
  • Extensive knowledge of the following:
  • Advanced business operations
  • Proven leader in cash applications and cash reconciliation
  • Track record of process improvement and delivery projects
  • ERP experience required (Oracle, SAP)

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
