Who you are

You are a results-driven and empathetic individual, and your ability to communicate clearly and professionally helps you quickly build rapport and relate to all kinds of people. You possess an analytical mindset and are adept at knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement. You don’t just see a problem, you identify it and solve it. Complexity doesn’t scare you, in fact, it energizes you, and you find it exciting to identify and resolve complicated problems. 

You have a proven track record of success and at least 5+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally within an accounts receivable function, with 2+ years of direct management experience . We’d be extra impressed if you have previous experience in the e-commerce or bevalc industry.

What the role is

In this Accounts Receivable Manager role, you will be an integral part of Drizly’s Finance team. You will support the Controller and the Finance team at large by fully owning the accounts receivable process from implementation to collection. You will be responsible for not just the collections from our customers, but ensuring revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP across all revenue streams to secure and strengthen the company’s financial position. 

You will establish processes within the accounting department and ensure the business is aligned with revenue best practices as we continue to scale.

In this role you will:

• Implement collections policies within the company
•  Ensure timely collection of payments across all revenue streams
• Train and mentor staff within this functional area of Accounting
•  Maintain records of invoices, deposits and all correspondence related to debt collections for the company
• Generate revenue recognition policies and own the month end processes surrounding invoicing of all customer groups
