Job Overview:
The Accounts Payable Manager will report to the accounting manager and is responsible for the oversight of full cycle A/P operations. This role requires problem solving, detailed analysis and dedication to driving a daily process to improve efficiencies at a fast growing company. This role is highly visible and will involve interaction with vendors as well as employees throughout the entire company.
What you will do:
- Manage daily tasks and allocation of resources across the A/P Team
- Ensure that daily and monthly invoices are processed and paid timely
- Ensure timely responses to all A/P inquiries
- Review A/P agings, reconcile to the general ledger, and provide commentary for reconciling items
- Further document standard operating procedures and process narratives
- Ensure all expenses are recorded in correct period and accrued for
- Manage expense policy and employee reimbursement process
- Manage system for distributing, monitoring and communicating regarding corporate cards
- Projects may include: procurement process buildout, new vendor onboarding process, updates/implementations of A/P software system, updates/implementations of employee travel software system
- Miscellaneous reporting requirements including 1099 processing
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement efficiencies in the A/P processes
Do you have the right ingredients?
- 5+ years in an A/P role with supervisorial experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Attentive to detail and goal oriented
- Strong communicator with an ability to maintain customer satisfaction
- High degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or applicable prior work experience
Bonus Skills:
- Experience working in NetSuite, MineralTree, or other similar A/P systems
- APM certified
- Knowledge of GAAP
