Who we’re looking for:

We need a motivated and experienced accounting professional who can oversee the core accounting functions of our business, deliver timely and accurate reporting of our financial position, and help us develop and implement new systems, processes and controls needed to scale our rapidly evolving company.  To that end, we are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team to help us grow the business as well as their career.  This role will report directly to our Controller and will play an instrumental role in the financial future of the company. 

What you’ll do:

The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Manager will:

  • Drive monthly close process including preparation and presentation of financial statement and KPI metrics package to executive leadership. 
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations with the accounting team (Cash, AP, GL, Payroll, Balance Sheet reconciliations etc.) and directly mentor current staff, providing training as needed.
  • Ensure adequate processes and controls are in place and followed to ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting. 
  • Implement new controls and procedures as necessary to ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. Assist with ensuring entity compliance with all regulatory entities encountered. 
  • Assist with due diligence and entity integration tasks as we continue to evaluate strategic M&A activity. 
  • Assist in budget and forecasting activities as needed and respond to inquiries from the company-wide managers regarding financial results and ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Oversee the annual audit process with external auditors and ensure completion of quarterly/ad-hoc bank compliance reporting requirements.
  • Assess the utility and efficiency of our financial systems and assist in the selection and implementation of new systems as needed.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 4-6 years of experience - Public Accounting / Private Industry mix and CPA strongly preferred
  • Hands on experience managing a small team
  • Strong independent worker able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. 
  • Systems implementation experience a plus. 
  • QuickBooks experience preferred. 
  • Exceptional verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
