Who you are

You are a self-motivated and results-driven person that's early in your Accounting career, maybe even recently coming out a Finance or Accounting program. You take pride in your organizational abilities and are accustomed to multitasking and meeting multiple, tight deadlines. You would describe yourself as proactive and action-oriented. You’re comfortable with change and learning on the fly and welcome opportunities to learn. You have a keen attention to detail and are known to be reliable and trustworthy. You have 0-1 years of working in an accounting or finance-related role and are ready to make an impact. We’d be extra impressed if you have previous experience in the tech, media, or alcohol industry. 

What the role is

In this Junior Accountant role, you will be a part of the Finance & Accounting team, responsible for bookkeeping, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and improving administrative processes. You will support the accounting team by assisting in painting a clear picture of the company financials, which is essential for a small, growing company, through up to date bookkeeping and cost categorization. You will also support the team, and company as a whole, by improving workflows and internal processes to increase efficiency and become more scalable.

In this role you will:

• Be responsible for keeping track of all accounts payable
• Assist in accounts receivable for a network of over 1,500 retail partners
• Help improve broader company operations through assisting in cost allocation and general bookkeeping
• Improve internal processes to maximize the output of the Finance & Accounting team
