Enterprise Program Manager
The Toast Program Manager - Enterprise is capable of handling all aspects of a large solution implementation. They will use their industry and hospitality product experience to manage the prospective customer through the development and deployment of a pilot (Proof of Concept) and subsequent roll out. The Program Manager will manage and monitor the progress of the pilot, suggest changes when necessary and comply with the project scope and rules of engagement. The Program Manager will typically oversee a Customer dedicated team of Implementation resources in addition to third party partners to insure focus on objectives and milestones. The Program Manager works closely with the various department heads of the Toast organization and the Enterprise Sales Director/Account Executives. The Program Manager will report to the Practice Direct – Enterprise.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Single point of contact responsible for communication to the Customer and TOAST internal departments during Pilot and Roll Out
- Managing all aspects of the customer relationship associated with a Pilot (Proof of Concept) accounts
- Managing and coordinating the activities of all TOAST departments during the Project including Sales, Implementation, Customer Services, Product Management, Engineering and Support during Roll out
- Develop, execute and manage project plans including a Statement of Work, project budget and resource requirements definition
- Develop and document customer-specific processes and policies to support a project plan
- Obtain agreement to the project plan from all internal departments and the prospective Customer
- Generate project status reports for customer and TOAST internal departments
- Manage pre-sale development and lab and pilot phases working along with the Pre-sales Sales Engineer
- Effectively direct and motivate a team of internal support resources
- Understand and assist in developing customer’s strategic direction relating to roll out and full adoption of Toast
- Responsible for Executive communication, Project Status reporting and the project management plan
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing projects, including project planning, executive communication, risks and issue management and financial analysis
- Ability to motivate a team of individuals in a matrix management environment; proven team leadership and management skills
- Experience working directly with customer management to develop and maintain customer relationships
- Working knowledge in the fundamentals of managing projects as defined by the Project Management Institute, PMP Certification highly preferred
- Excellent oral and written skills as well as the ability to consult and negotiate
- Accomplished interpersonal skills and good business sense with the ability to see the larger picture
- Experience in hospitality, related industry or consulting a plus
- Technology or POS sales background highly desired
- Previous experience creating project management standards and templates is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Work Environment
- Works under supervision of the Enterprise Practice Director who will assist in establishing work requirements and procedures
- Must have ability to work closely with Product Management, Pre-Sales SE, Project Management and Customer Services teams
- Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision
