The Opportunity
The VP, Enterprise Applications will lead a global and expanding team of Product Owners, Engineers, Architects, and Quality Engineers to deliver information, automation and joy to both customers and Rapid7 employees. We are seeking a business-savvy leader who wants to be part of a modern, progressive IT team and part of Rapid7’s larger commitment to providing amazing business outcomes to both internal and external customers. This executive-level role provides a hands-on leadership opportunity for developing and leading a team responsible for delivering digital transformation at scale at Rapid7. This person will work as an equal partner with our Products, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success teams in our go-to-market strategy and business development efforts.. This is a highly visible and critical role, reporting to the CIO, with high customer and business impact offering the chance to be innovative, to build and lead world-class technical teams, and to participate in strategic business conversations. Essential Responsibilities
Hire, manage and develop a diverse team of Product Owners, Architects, and Engineers, mostly located in Boston and Belfast, UK.
Create the vision and strategy for our enterprise architecture, including integration, automation, and data governance.
Partner with business and operational leaders to redesign and automate business processes.
Manage a variety of best-in-breed cloud vendors and service providers to maximize the value returned by these vendors and to implement desired enterprise architecture.
Effectively plan and execute on high-impact digital initiatives across Rapid7 using lean and agile methodologies.
Develop careers and leaders across the team using growth development plans, coaching, and mentorship, with a focus on technical and non-technical professional development.
Partner with Rapid7 executive, sales, finance, marketing, and products teams on business strategy tied to achievement of customer outcomes.
Be seen as a technical thought leader both inside and outside the company.
Build and develop an application automation team that will improve efficiency in our business applications and also be a hub for automation across other programs and platforms.
Qualifications and Traits
Demonstrated history of building and leading successful teams, and developing people through coaching and mentoring
Experience working with cross-team/matrixed organizations influencing multiple stakeholders across the organization.
15+ years enterprise applications experience.
5+ years of experience with low code systems and automation.
Proven experience in managing budgets and vendor relationships.
Proven experience in delivering enterprise solutions that scale, perform, and create great end user experiences.
Proven experience in developing and executing automation strategies across a diverse set of use cases.
Adept at influencing business partners and creating frameworks where business users can safely and effectively create automation that delivers business results.
Possess the ability to be a cyber security expert, and demonstrate deep knowledge and expertise on all Rapid7’s products and services.
Strong verbal, written, and visual communication and presentation skills with proven executive level engagement.
Experience building and leading Automation teams.
Engineering / CS / MIS Degree (Bachelor’s preferred; graduate degree a plus) or 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
