SimbiQ's mission is to radically improve overall access to high quality, cost effective health care for all. We are looking for a VP of Engineering/Head of Technology to lead development, maintenance, and support of the full SimbiQ platform tech stack. This includes consumer-facing front end, integration layers, backend databases and architecture, and mobile platforms.

This executive will be highly visible as a client and investor-facing co-founder, and a shared genuine passion for making a difference in healthcare through our work is essential.

This position reports directly to the President and founder of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy for the SimbiQ technology platform, as well as vendor/ partner relationships.
  • Build the technology standards and best practices that will inform the organization's technology landscape both near and long-term.
  • Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs.
  • Demonstrate initiative, thought leadership, curiosity and creative problem solving.
  • Collaborate with the President on development and management of financial forecasts.
  • Support investor and client presentations, in collaboration with the President.

 

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience developing high-performance, scalable, platform-based web and mobile applications
  • Experience implementing and managing version control (ex. git)
  • Deep experience with API integrations
  • Experience sourcing, implementing and maintaining vendor solutions and services
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical and application problems
  • A pragmatic, data-driven approach to technical recommendations, taking into consideration both near and long-term ROI
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • The ability to travel occasionally for investor and client presentations
  • The ability to build, support and lead a remote-based team
