Sustaining Test Engineer II

As a Sustaining Test Engineer you will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure the manufacturing test process is efficient, reliable, and robust. You will assist to provide the design of experiment (DOE) and corrective action plan for the factory to accommodate any design changes. You have a strong understanding of electromechanical systems and the associated automated test system software enabling you to troubleshoot issues and implement optimizations. Additionally, GR&R and cp/cpk experience are essential to drive continuous improvement of test system quality and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in sustaining and developing automated test programs for existing products.
- Develop documentation for standard operating procedure, DOE, and preventative maintenance.
- Work with cross functional teams internally and externally to provide corrective actions to address manufacturing test related issues.
- Perform GR&R, cp/cpk analysis for the test fixtures.
- Drive the actions to continuously improve test fixture cycle time, reliability, and repeatability.
- Perform internal engineering validation tests to enable factory validation tests and production implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
- 3+ years experience in embedded system testing or production testing.
- Experience in C#, C, or C++.
- Experience of communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Bluetooth, etc.
- Experience communicating with engineering, manufacturing, and contractors both domestically and internationally in a CM/JDM model.
- Experience in consumer electronics or wearable technology.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%).
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
