About This Roll* (Responsibilities)
- Build and maintain consumer-facing web experiences at New Ventures
- Build and maintain back-end systems
- Work closely with the leads to identify high-impact opportunities
- Rapidly prototype solutions using a combination of web technologies
- Make technical decisions and recommendations that will lay the foundation for the future of our strategy
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Qualities & Essential Skills)
- 7+ years of full-time experience as a full-stack engineer, working on consumer-facing products at scale
- 4+ years of full-time experience with an emphasis on backend design
- Passion for moving quickly, learning new technologies, pivoting projects, and new challenges
- Prior experience with building services using Python frameworks such as Django or Flask
- Familiarity implementing designs provided by high-fidelity UX mocks in Figma, Sketch, etc.
- Experience shipping and maintaining testable code bases, including API design and unit-testing frameworks
- Passionate about making users happy and seeing people use your product in the wild
- Ability to embrace the agile mindset and understand that sometimes we need to ship features quickly and clean up the code later
- Comfortable with testing methodologies and frameworks
