About the opportunity

The Trading Team provides a vital part of the Market+ product creating a real-time link with the grain futures market. This enables a two way data communication for our users to provide insights and create transactions. This is a great opportunity to build something from the earliest stages on the latest tech stack and make a tangible impact on the sustainability of both the farming and food industries.

Responsibilities

Team Lead Managers lead full-stack engineering teams of 4-6 for our Market+ product.  The Market+ product provides a new way for buyers and growers to efficiently and quickly create grain transactions. You will be a player-coach providing technical, product, and people leadership to the squad.  You will own relationships and processes with internal and external stakeholders across multiple workstreams.  You will establish team norms and processes that promote open, diverse thinking and productive dissent to improve decision-making.  You’ll be metric-driven and use data to drive success within your team.  You’ll participate in design review and own your architectural decisions.  You will gain deep industry knowledge, understand our customers and use that to set the direction of the team.

Qualifications

• You have built and delivered web apps and APIs in a SaaS environment, as an IC or leader.  A leader here will help the team see around corners; experience building and scaling web apps will help us identify challenges before they occur
• You are comfortable navigating ambiguous situations and rolling with them. Indigo Market+ is growing and changing, and we don’t always get it right.  We would love for you to be excited about working in a dynamic environment.
• You have deep experience in one or more modern programming languages. We work primarily in Python but the alternate experience is acceptable.
• You are a strong communicator. You can lead technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions within your team
• You bring a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and self-awareness
• You strive to create fast, reliable, testable, and documented code that others can understand
