Our Product Engineering team is responsible for creating and supporting our two primary product lines: A platform that enables our customers to engage the right talent, inside or outside their company, at the right timeA strategy-to-execution platform that drives more predictable and effective project outcomes for customers We value collaboration and teamwork, and strive for pragmatic solutions. We’re a python shop on the Flask framework. We use docker and MySQL deployed in GCP. We leverage CI/CD. We work in scrum teams, developing new features and platform improvements for our clients. We limit meetings so everyone is focused on the stuff that matters. Your contributions:
- Partner across engineering, product, and other organizations to promote a DevOps mentality
- Progress, promote, and evolve automation and orchestration of infrastructure, deployment processes, integrations, logging, and monitoring
- Contribute to the long term DevOps and application infrastructure roadmap advocating for automation, performance, and scalability
- Maintain and mature various environments, including production, ensuring a high availability rate, including a commitment to operational security
What you bring:
- 4-6+ years of experience in DevOps
- Demonstrated knowledge of deploying, configuring, monitoring, and optimizing applications hosted in GCP
- Demonstrated knowledge of containerization and orchestration (such as Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD principles and tools (such as Jenkins)
- You have an automation mindset
- You have 4+ years of professional programming experience in a wide variety of technologies and design patterns
- Strong OOP experience; Python a strong plus
- Strong experience with MySQL; familiarity with BigData, analytics, caching, and performance optimizations
- You make balanced technical decisions considering both the technical and the business needs
- You focus on solutions that deliver customer and team value
- You write code that results in a consistent, scalable, performant, and high quality codebase
- You enjoy coaching engineers and non-engineers in a constructive and positive way
- You utilize industry best practices and regularly flex your knowledge of design patterns; including maintaining a security mindset
- You partner well with technical peers, product managers, and designers during requirement discovery and options for delivering features
- You enthusiastically adapt to the needs of the organizationYou offer new ideas and collaborate with others to arrive at the optimal solution; a mentality that there is probably a better way to accomplish a task
- You work with a sense of urgency and have a track record of success
- You bring a strong sense of curiosity and demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and businesses
