Cyber Security Engineer - This role can be remote
The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will work collaboratively as a part of the SharkNinja Global Security team to support a variety of activities to ensure the integrity of SharkNinja data and systems.
This is an individual contributor position that functions as a key part of a team of network and systems security professionals. This position provides the technical expertise supporting various security products used to defend and protect the SharkNinja environment. This role will also be a key contributor to providing countermeasure direction.
This position installs, manages and maintains various security products (appliances and software); troubleshoots security issues and events; and implements, monitors and maintains network and computer security policies with a focus on managing and mitigating vulnerabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Manage and support various security tools such as Endpoint Protection, SIEM, EDR, Intrusion Detection, Firewalls, Secure Email Gateway, Cloud Security Platforms, WAF and Secure Web Gateway, to log, monitor and support security activities at SharkNinja
· Analyze assessment results and threat feeds to properly react to security weaknesses or vulnerabilities
· Investigate, analyze, coordinate and report on all security events, incidents and intrusions, track incidents through analysis, diagnosis, correction and resolution
· Perform periodic security assessments and review for evidence of vulnerability or compromise, and assist or coordinate mitigation and remediation
· Assist in the research of vendors and technology for network and desktop security to determine those which best meet the needs of SharkNinja
· Serve as an expert technical resource, to advise and assist in security issues, both proactively and reactively
· Collaborate with multiple cross-functional IT teams as well as non-IT business units as required
Required Skills:
· Prior experience with secure software development, data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security (VPNs) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments
· Demonstrated understanding of fundamental operating system, security and network concepts
· Working knowledge of incident management, case management and investigation practices
· Previous experience with vendor management and coordinating vendor activities
· Ability to provide coverage and willingness to support a flexible work schedule when required
· Proactive, accountable, self-directed, humble and solution oriented
· Prior experience in security design and analysis; defense in depth analysis; configuring and managing security devices, incident handling & response; troubleshooting security related issues
Nice to have:
· Knowledge of PowerShell and Python
· DFIR experience
· Experience with environments in China
Education and Experience:
University Degree, Technical Degree, or relevant work experience
· 5+ years of relevant security experience
