Job Introduction:
The Corporate Functions Legal Technology team is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join a geographically distributed agile team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our business partners in our aligned Data Science team to incorporate machine learning models into an Azure cloud model prediction pipeline. You will also maintain a React/Spring Boot web application used by our business stakeholders. In this role you will:
- Partner with the aligned Product Owner, Architects, Solution Engineers and team members to develop and continually refine a roadmap that drives technology modernization alongside business priorities.
- Work closely with Data Scientists to understand requirements for incorporating models into the pipeline using Python, Azure ML and Azure Data Factory.
- Develop and maintain a React/Spring Boot web application.
- Build automated CI/CD pipelines following security best practices.
- Be a part of a fully agile software development team and participate in agile ceremonies.
- Identify and deliver process improvements for both system reliability and maintainability.
- Demonstrate open minded and collaborative approaches to meet business needs.
- Look for opportunities to innovate supportive of improving our capabilities and how we work.
- Analyze data and technical system problems to design and implement effective, flexible solutions.
- Handle all aspects of the development lifecycle, including coding, automated testing, and debugging during each cycle following best software engineering practices.
Qualifications
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Data Science, or similar field.
- Minimum 3+ years software engineering experience developing in Python, Java/Spring Boot and React.
- Experience with version control tools such as GIT.
- Experience with JSON file configurations.
- General understanding of SQL queries and database concepts.
- Strong data analytical skills preferred.
- Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative, and be a logical thinker.
- Excited about learning new technologies or concepts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Understanding of Cloud / Hybrid data architecture concepts and services.
- Basic familiarity with machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with automated testing practices and frameworks.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.
- Familiar with API development and usage.
- Ability to understand and conceptualize medium business workflows preferred.
