Our engineers have one of the most interesting roles at TripAdvisor. We collaborate directly with our product managers and are encouraged to speak up with project ideas or optimizations that could move the needle on increasing the number of successful bookings by travelers. We work regularly with many other teams across the company (B2C traveler experience, data acquisition and analytics, microservices architecture, B2B price acquisition and delivery, etc.) on our projects. Overall you'll grow a comprehensive understanding of how TripAdvisor competes (and wins!) in the fascinating and rapidly-changing global travel marketplace.

We're a good-sized team inside a good-sized company: We're large enough to be responsible for a meaningful chunk of TripAdvisor's daily revenue, while small enough to remain nimble and flexible and able to develop new technology quickly. We have a big mission where the more travelers we can acquire and bring to TripAdvisor's website, the bigger the impact our company can have on travelers & the more our company can grow. What you will do:

• Write code! We minimize meetings and distractions so you can focus on the important stuff.
• Work with your team, business owners, product managers, and others to bring your projects to fruition.
• Touch whatever level of code is required in order to complete your project.
• Be creative and pragmatic when solving the problem you are working on.
• Move quickly. We have a weekly release, so build it and ship it!
• Work in our beautiful headquarters located in Needham, MA.

What you will bring to the team:
