About the team: 

Reporting to our Software Engineering Manager, our Platform / Governance group is looking to add a Software Engineer in Test to one of our teams, focusing on simplifying, securing and scaling how our customers govern their use of the Quickbase platform. You will work with other engineers, Product Management and User Experience Designers to create solutions to business problems that delight our customers, and adhere to our rigorous engineering standards. The team works in diverse areas and technologies, we are a team that is constantly learning and honing our tools.

What We're Looking For in Your Profile:

  • You have 2+ years of full time experience with QA methodologies, tools, and best practices and working in an agile environment
  • You have experience creating unit, functional, and integration white box tests using automation frameworks/harnesses
  • You have prior coding or scripting experience (Java, C++, JavaScript)

Additional Technology We're Using - Not Disqualifiers:

  • Familiarity with Docker containers or AWS technologies
  • Familiarity with Splunk or other analytics tools
  • Familiarity with Sauce Labs or BrowserStack

What will you be doing:

  • Be the quality advocate for your team
  • Drive building automated tests, across the technology stack to support end-to-end feature quality
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Work closely with other development and QA engineers to understand needs, problem solve issues, and propose or implement solutions
  • Help evolve testing best practices and patterns in order to improve overall quality, speed, and efficiency
  • Educate and influence others on quality, best practices, processes, and testing methodologies and approaches
  • Collaborate and share learnings with other quality minded individuals as a part of our Quality Community of Practice
  • As needed, you will step outside the usual quality responsibilities and help your agile team accomplish their goals
