Who you are

You are a tech-savvy engineer that thrives on building things with real-world applications that you and your friends could talk about. You’re at the point in your career where you’ve committed to taking action to continuously improve and readily accept assignments that broaden your capabilities. You’re also someone that knows their strengths and opportunities and proactively seeks feedback in pursuit of growth. You’re comfortable with learning and adopting new technologies that help you keep your technical skills fresh, so you’re someone who’s comfortable experimenting until you find the tech that works. Coworkers would describe you as a flexible, open communicator, that can balance taking action with driving results and you know/can clearly articulate the difference.

You are a proficient contributor that’s passionate about writing clean, readable, maintainable code and display best practices consistently sticking to style guides, git usage, and timely deployments. You’ve been trusted to own small-to-medium features from technical design through deployment and are self-sufficient in at least one area of a codebase matched by a high-level understanding of how systems interact with that codebase.

You ideally have two to three years of experience working with backend web technologies. We write most of our core systems in Ruby, but we are flexible on your specific experience; we care more about general engineering acumen than any specific tech. We would be really impressed if you had experience in eCommerce, payment systems, or the food and beverage technology space.
