Software Engineer (Minerva)

Minerva Analytics, the latest team to emerge from Cogo’s proven incubator model, is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. Using Cogo’s extensive data warehouse, the Minerva team is building communities of users on the internet through a combination of rapid-development web property tools, scalable user acquisition, and extensive competitive and performance analysis. At our core we are a media company that employs data-driven, analytical methodologies to create profitable web businesses.

About the job:

This is a Software Engineering position on our rapidly growing Engineering team. You'll be immersed in full-stack development on performant, feature-rich web and native applications backed by data-driven analytics and design teams. You aren't just another cog in the wheel here: your work will actively determine the success of our products. 

What you will do:

• Develop new features for web applications using Javascript and Python
• Code review other engineers' code to help catch potential bugs and learn more about Minerva engineering practices.
• Participate in team meetings by providing feedback and ideas for organizational improvement as well as sharing interesting technical learning.
• Manage application deployments and troubleshoot issues if and when they pop up.
