AS SOFTWARE ENGINEER, INTEGRATIONS YOU WILL:

Be part of a high-performing team responsible for building distributed, high scale and data-intensive integrations and data-pipelines that extend our market-leading core SaaS product. Our products commonly incorporate the latest technologies and features to provide groundbreaking solutions to our customers. We enjoy working with Engineers who possess strong growth-mindset, are hardworking at problem solving and are able to demonstrate leadership qualities. Our integrations process around 10 million events per day, so you will be challenged by the global scale and complexity of these systems.

• Bridge the worlds of on-premises and cloud based business systems and the Dispatch AWS cloud.
• Working with the Dispatch platform engineering team and architect, you will:
• Enhance the integration capabilities of Dispatch (using Python, AWS Lambda) to allow business analysts (BAs) in professional services to configure and test enterprise integrations.
• Work in small teams to build our APIs, supporting microservices (Go), and infrastructure (Docker, Rancher, AWS).
• Work with clients on C# .Net and SDK based integrations.
• Work with product management to ensure timely delivery of core features and functionality.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Dispatch Professional services project managers, and BAs.
• Design technical solutions with partner and enterprise customer engineers and technical staff.
• Think about data and workflows in a way that makes good sense to both business users and data geeks.
• See your solutions deployed to business hosts in a timely manner, and excited to see your next solution do amazing things in the cloud too.
• Most of all, you know your stuff and like to show you're as dependable and high-throughput as your code.

SKILLS WE SEEK:

• 4+ years overall experience as a hands-on software engineer or consultant supporting integration efforts.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient in modern C# .Net development and/or comfortable with Python scripting, as well as desire to work in other languages like Go.
• Have a track record of getting up and running with other modern languages and technologies as well.
• You've used or can easily understand SDKs and APIs from applications like Great Plains, Salesforce, and Quickbooks.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and partners in both written and verbal communications

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

• Attend New Hire Training
• Learn the Dev and Product Management processes
• Gain exposure to Dispatch’s product suite
• Configure your first integration and learn the overall integration landscape
• Make your first integrations code check-ins
• Learn about Dispatch’s tools and technologies
• Get to know your team 

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

• Fully understand the integration infrastructure and capabilities
• Have a prioritized roadmap of enhancements for Dispatch’s integration technology
• Assisting with the release of new code to production with DevOps
• Provide support to Professional Services on integrations

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

• Present at a whiteboard session for the engineering team
• Be well versed in customer’s integrations needs and problems to be solved
• Have made significant enhancements to the product and have worked down the roadmap
• Ensure that we are releasing high quality product

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

• Be an expert on Dispatch’s product
• Be the “go to” expert on Dispatch’s integration frameworks
• Be the primary steward of Dispatch’s integration related repositories
• Partner and work cross functionally with other dev teams and Professional services
• Continuously think about and work on improvements to our integration products
