Smartsheet is looking for our next Software Engineer II to join the development team. Our business is built on finding top grade talent and getting out of their way while they build and improve our award-winning Software as a Service (SaaS) offering for collaborative work and project management.

You will report to our Engineering Manager located in our Boston, MA office. This role may be performed remotely from any state within the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.

You Will:

• Build, deploy and maintain scalable microservices that can run on public cloud infrastructures
• Participate in the entire development life cycle, from concept to release
• Implement new features and improve the ones we have already built
• Build and maintain integrations with the big players in tech: Amazon Web Services, Google, Salesforce.com, Box, Microsoft, PayPal and others
• Build modular/reusable UI components, using both proven and bleeding edge web technologies
• Participate in all phases of quality assurance and defect resolution

You Have:

• 2+ years programming experience with technologies such as Java, C#,, C++, SQL
• Proficiency in a modern object-oriented language 
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures
• 2+ years web application development
• Experience building highly scalable, high availability application
• Experience developing with various service frameworks
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
• BS or MS in Computer Science, a related field, equivalent industry experience, or equivalent educational experience
