The Web Systems team is looking to add an Associate Software Engineer, focused on front-end technologies. As a member of the Web Systems team, you will not only work closely with other front-end developers, but you will also work with the Digital Marketing team to find and create web-related marketing solutions, visual designers to make sure those solutions are attractive and on brand, and UX designers to keep our customers and their experience at the forefront of your efforts. You will quickly turn flat designs and sketches into coded prototypes, break down large projects into smaller milestones, and collaborate on finding solutions.

Upcoming Projects:

  • Building out an international and localized version of the company website 

  • Refactoring current code to make things better and easier for content creators and website visitors 

  • Developing interactive components to allow website visitors to see data in simple styles and show the different ways Quickbase works 

 

Tech Stack We Use (and will teach you!): 

  • Craft CMS 3.7+ with Twig templating 

  • Bootstrap 4 

  • SCSS 

  • ES6 

  • Webpack 

  • Git/GitLab 

 

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Manager of Web Systems, you will attend daily scrum status meetings and maintain transparency with the team about progress and problems 

  • Work with team members to build reusable, flexible, mobile-responsive components 

  • Size, develop, debug, and QA front-end projects

  • Develop and use site-wide styles to keep a consistent design across the site 

  • Eagerly discuss technological options and reasons for making choices 

 

Qualifications

  • Experience building for the web with modern web standards, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 

  • Experience being part of a team and presenting work to others 

  • Eager learner who can both collaborate and work independently on projects
