Job Description:
We are actively hiring a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer who wants to create something meaningful that will greatly improve people’s lives. This role is a unique opportunity for someone who not only wishes to architect and build superb systems, but also help evolve the Engineering department into an even more successful organization as the company scales. In this role you will work closely with the application development team to ensure the performance, capacity, and reliability of PatientPing’s systems.
What You Will Do:
•Contribute to the architecture of all new solutions, with an eye towards operational and scale considerations
•Write automated scripts to monitor for current or incipient system stresses
•Help automate the deployment process of both custom and off-the-shelf components
•Continually look for opportunities to improve the efficiency and elegance of existing systems
•Work with QA engineers to plan and execute stress testing and feed the results back into actionable scaling steps
What You Need:
•A minimum of 5 years’ experience administering Linux systems
•A minimum of 5 years’ experience installing, configuring, and maintaining complex software packages in a clustered environment
•Three years’ experience writing automation scripts in a modern language (Python, Ruby, Java)
•Three years administering virtualized environments
•A deep knowledge of standard networking stacks
•Experience with AWS or other public cloud provider
