The Role

At Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics, we're building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of retail experiences. The Senior Verification & Validation Engineer (V&V) will be responsible for a risk-based test strategy, test planning, authoring test procedures and test cases, and ensuring that product requirements and specifications are verified. She/He will be part of quality team and work closely with hardware/firmware, software, and operations teams to ensure the end-to-end testing of product releases and drive methodology, coverage, and cycle time.  

A strong understanding of the design and development process and various testing methodologies and familiarity with quality regulations and standards are needed.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:

  • Develop and implement a verification and validation plan for hardware in a software-driven electro-mechanical system
  • Partner with Project Managers, System Engineers, and other engineering teams to plan and execute on project goals
  • Execute the verification and validation of product design including requirement analysis, and testability assessment
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide solution to improve product
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive test plan to validate the readiness and effectiveness of the new system
  • Document and track defect through the defect life
  • Create and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for platform services

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 6+ years of system integration and test engineering experience in robotic environment for an electrical-mechanical device (Automation preferred)
  • Experience in system testing, subsystem testing, Hardware/Firmware/Software testing
  • Ability to work independently and in multi-functional interdisciplinary team environment
  • Experience in Agile environment
  • Design and develop test automation frameworks/harness and libraries for testing
  • Working knowledge of Linux Operating system
  • BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Robotics Engineering, or similar field
