Senior Software Engineer (Intralinks, Inc.; Waltham, MA): The Senior Software Engineer will design and develop applications for specific program modules within a larger application. The incumbent will use J2EE in Enterprise Applications, HTML, Flex, JavaScript, Google Web Toolkit, and XML in Spring and Hibernate service platforms. Specific job duties include: apply knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, API development and API Management; apply knowledge of Performance Monitoring and Instrumentation tools to test the application for performance validation; apply experience of UNIX/LINUX platforms to learn and build deployment automations for the continuous Integration and Continuous deployment (CI/CD); troubleshoot critical production issues and attempt to provide solution with quick turnaround; employ REST design principle for developing web services and Design Patterns in Java applications; use SQL and Oracle relational databases to develop applications; code application instructions to the local environment in Apache and UNIX /LINUX platforms; partner with Senior Developers to develop detailed design, specific tables, and fields, using knowledge of XML and Object-Oriented Programming; deploy new applications to development environment for testing; review programming code of other developers and make comments and recommendations; prepare documentation on design process; obtain and review requirements from Product Management indicating the business needs and functionalities of the proposed application; create a high-level design document that describes the approach to be taken and programming details; respond to and resolve escalated calls for technical assistance received from production support; manage the delivery of assigned modules on time and budget with high quality; review requirements and test plans; and may have ownership of modules and/or technology areas.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of software Industry experience in Java development or Enterprise application analysis and troubleshooting in Java/J2EE environment. Experience may be gained pre- or post- Master’s degree. Alternate requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of software industry experience in in Java development or Enterprise application analysis and troubleshooting in Java/J2EE environment.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Must have: (1) 3 years of experience working with SQL and Oracle Database and writing complex queries; (2) 3 years of Experience working with api/application/infrastructure performance/monitoring tools, including Dynatrace and Apigee; (3) experience with Object Oriented Programming and supporting large Saas deployment; (4) proven analytical skills to troubleshoot Production Issues and come up with the solution; (5) proven ability to work from the infrastructure to the application layer using Apache and UNIX; and (6) excellent written and verbal communication skills.
