Our Data Distribution Engineering team is looking to bring on an experienced Sr. Software Engineer who wants to be part of a collaborative team that is solving our clients most critical problems. Our clients (Healthcare Insurance payers) receive patient and other data from numerous disparate sources. Our Data Distribution team is responsible for transforming that data into the various formats needed to support different business use cases. You will be part of the team building our first set of distribution APIs to enable third-party applications to consume data from the Abacus Platform. As a member of this team, you will work with business partners, project managers, and systems analysts to review functional business requirements, non-functional specifications, test plans and ultimately deployment plans. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud application environments.
- In-depth AWS knowledge, notably with serverless microservices (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, ElasticSearch, S3) or similar platforms with complex distributed systems,
- Strong programming skills (Python, TypeScript, Java or other OOP languages)
- Strong background in RESTful APIs, MVC, modern frontend frameworks (React)
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation and CI/CD
- Working knowledge of both event-based and batch processing architectures
- Willingness to learn and develop healthcare technology for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
- Able to emphasize new technologies, fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and handling multiple conflicting priorities.
- A strong plus: Experience with OAuth, OpenID Connect and/or Spark
