Senior Software Engineer

PFF is hiring a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role you will bring your expertise in developing multi-threading computer vision applications, framework and integration and validation of those components to help gita® move and operate collaboratively with people. The Senior Software Engineer will be a key contributor in the development and improvement of gita® as well as future mobility products. Experience developing navigation algorithms in prior robotic products is necessary for success in this role at PFF.
Responsibilities:
- Active involvement in product development for a vision-based robotic system.
- Design, implement, test, and document robotic applications in C++/Python on desktop and embedded platforms.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define, design, test and create autonomous robots.
- Continually research, discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies and approaches.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of related experience designing and implementing robot framework, multi-threaded robotic applications
- Strong knowledge of tracking/navigation/path-planning/obstacle avoidance components
- Experience integrating/validating complex systems involving hardware, software, and mechanical components.
- Experience with OpenCV.
- Strong Programming experience in C++ and Python.
- Knowledge of GPU-acceleration frameworks (CUDA) is a plus.
- Experience with embedded software development a plus
- Experience with Linux and open-source development tools.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- BS or greater in Computer Science or Engineering or a related subject is preferred.
- Prior experience designing for high volume products is preferred.
