We are looking for a detail-oriented Site Reliability Engineer with a strong attention to detail, problem solving & trouble shooting skills, a strong networking background, and experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers.  Responsibilities include:

  • Keep Nuance Dragon Medical One’s global services available and ensure we meet our external SLAs
  • Incident management – Ability to act in various roles during Critical Incidents e.g. DEFCON 1, DEFCON 2 and assist with post-incident reviews by writing and reviewing customer facing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents.
  • Ensuring that work carried out by the Site Reliability team complies with Nuance best practices.
  • Run our infrastructure with Azure DevOps pipelines, ARM/Terraform and SaltStack/Ansible.
  • Participate On-Call by being available to discuss and resolve technical issues and escalations.
  • Assist in team development growth by mentoring junior members of the team and ensuring tribal knowledge is documented to a high standard.
  • Ability to operate in the high-pressure environment and troubleshoot complex issues quickly successfully handle multiple priorities.

Years of Experience: 7+ years of Cloud technology & System Admin / Operation

 

Skills Required:

  • Expertise Administering, maintaining the Linux and/or Windows.
  • Experience with managing Azure Active Directory and On-Premises Active Directory.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Networking (e.g. deploying and maintaining Azure networking resources such as VNets, Address space allocation & subnetting, Network security groups, Network gateways, VNet peering, Network Virtual Appliances, Firewalls, Azure load balancers, network monitoring).
  • Hands-on experience with Configuration Management technologies such as SaltStack, Ansible, Puppet, Desired State Configuration.
  • Experience operating large scale production environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; willingness to present technical information to a group
  • Manage and document tasks using Jira align / Jira / Confluence
  • Monitoring system logs, system activities, network performance, cloud resources using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana & Azure Monitor.
  • Grafana dashboard development using PromQL
  • Hands-on Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as ARM, Terraform
  • Experience building highly scalable and available infrastructure on public could environments such as Azure.
  • Knowledge of Internet technologies (DNS, HTTP, streaming, web servers, etc.)

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology/Informatics
  • Azure Certifications such as AZ-104 Azure Administrator or AZ-204 Azure Developer Associate.
  • RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCA)
