Senior RF/Microwave System/Antenna Design Engineer for consumer and commercial infrastructure communication systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, simulate and test Antennas and RF circuits from 2 to 40 GHz in microstrip, stripline and waveguide, using 3D Electromagnetic Simulators, Linear and Non-Linear Circuit Simulation Tools
  • Conceive and Analyze System and Circuit Designs within constraints of Link Budgets and Commercial Objectives
  • Supervise design activities with external design and fabrication shops
  • Create prototypes and carry through to production units
  • Collaborate with firmware and software engineers, provide prototype code for test
  • Analyze and improve production yields

Skills, Experience and Education Required:

  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Physics coupled with 7 or more years design engineering
    experience or a Bachelor of Science and 10 years of experience
  • 3D Electromagnetic Simulation, Linear and Non-Linear RF Circuit analyzer, RF Measurements, RF Propagation
  • Microstrip and Waveguide design techniques
  • Vector network analyzer, spectrum/signal analyzer, oscilloscopes
  • Wireless and wired network communications including WiFi, QAM
  • Field experience validating propagation and system performance
  • C/C++/Python, TCL for testing and analysis
  • Statistical Analysis and multi-variate Design of Experiment
  • Materials knowledge and mechanical skills for circuit boards, metals and plastics
  • Strong Verbal, and written communication skills
  • Outstanding shuffleboard skills also a plus
