Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Description:

We are actively hiring a full-time Senior QA Automation Engineer who wants to play a role in helping create something meaningful that will greatly impact people’s lives. PatientPing supports a number of customer facing web-based applications that facilitate patient care coordination. The Senior QA Automation Engineer will work closely with the development, QA, and product teams to develop and automate all things test. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, persistent, collaborative, and deeply knowledgeable about test automation practice and theory.

What You Will Do:

•Design, develop, and implement automated testing and tooling solutions

•Mentor fellow team members in automation writing and execution

•Triage manual test cases for the most urgent automation candidates

•Define and promote test automation best practices, standards and processes

•Perform code reviews of test scripts

•Ensure the release of high quality software in every sprint cycle

What Success Looks Like:

•In 3 months… 

•Understand the business requirements of our products

•Understand the automation needs of the team

•Become familiar with the existing automation framework

•Contribute new automated test cases and begin improving the framework

In 6 months…

•Drive the automation process

•Enhance the test framework

•Mentor others to develop effective automated tests.

In 12 months…

•Own the automation effort

•Create additional test harnesses and frameworks as identified by business needs

What You Need:

Required:

•3+ years writing and maintaining test automation scripts for high volume web applications

•Experience with source control tools such as GIT

•Foundational understanding of SQL and databases

•Knowledge of QA processes, practices and systems]

•Experience testing Web services (REST, SOAP)

Desired:

•Selenium Web Driver

•Java or Kotlin experience
